Treat yourself or someone special to this heirloom quality holiday stocking, part of my limited run of modern traditional stockings for 2021. This stocking will be with you or your loved one for many years, holding your holiday memories season after season.
A one-off project each year, I've made only twelve of these special stockings for 2021, the year's designs never to be repeated! Only two of this design were made. I aim to create stockings that are at once fully traditional *and* styled for a modern home - the design combination my work is always based on.
My stockings feature traditional patchwork in linen / cotton fabric and velveteen details, with contrast velveteen backs and gentle unbleached linings. They feature hand embroidered details in heavier, colorful hand stitches, each one showing off the handmade nature of these items. This stocking is in cream and luscious black with spring green hand-embroidery and a bright pop of red in the velveteen hanging tab.
Made from 55% cotton / 45% linen blend fabrics, cotton velveteen and cotton thread.
Measurements:
18" long
8.5" wide (at top opening)
10.5" wide (from toe to heel)
2.5" hanging tab
Your stocking will ship lovingly wrapped in tissue and carefully rolled. Stocking may need to hang or lie flat to fully straighten after shipping. If needed, iron carefully with a pressing cloth and light steam on the cotton setting. *DO NOT* allow iron to touch velveteen directly. (Stocking ships with a care note for your reference.)
