Union Square, a traditional quilt block is an all-time favorite! Mine is a bold, bright pink and soft aqua, filled with teensy modern and geometric patterns. This is a block that looks equally wonderful straight as it does on point (as shown in photos), so experiment with direction before you commit to sticking it down!
